The tour begins to the city of Cusco at our meeting point at the agreed time to visit the Cathedral of Cusco, the most important Christian temple in the city, where you can find a large number of paintings from the Cusqueña School.
We will visit the Qorikancha Temple (entrance ticket NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR). Here the professional guide gives us information about the Tongue and Groove technique used for construction and we have free time to take photographs.
We will visit the archaeological sites of Tambomachay, Puka Pukara and Sacsayhuaman. In this last place we will stay for 30 minutes to listen to the guide’s information about the construction and take some photos of the sunset over the ruins.
Finally we visited Qenqo before returning to Cusco, ending the tour after 5 hours at a point near the Plaza de Armas.
Passengers will be required to have lunch before the tour as this does not include or take into account the time required.

About the tourist ticket for Cusco
The tourist ticket gives you access to the various attractions of Cusco. We recommend purchasing it before the start of your activity at Palacio Kusicancha, Calle Maruri 340, Cusco to reduce entry time and take advantage of the time to visit the places, or you can buy it at the first place on your visit itinerary, however. There are two kinds:

The full tourist ticket is valid for all seats on the three tours available for 10 days, while the “partial” tourist ticket is only valid for one of the three one- or two-day tours, depending on the route. Our representative will visit you at your hotel and take you to the starting point of your tour.
We offer 2 shifts:
The tour begins at the Cathedral of Cusco, a cathedral decorated with intricate woodwork, impressive altars and beautiful paintings made by local artists of the Cusco School, which hide hidden elements of indigenous thought.
Next, we will take a short walk through the streets of the historic center towards the Qoricancha, the Temple of the Sun. According to the chronicles, access to this site required fasting and walking barefoot, as it was considered a native sanctuary dedicated to the deities of the sun, the moon, the stars, the rainbow, the thunder and the lightning.
Here we will enjoy the exquisite lithic technology developed by the Incas, with intricate stone carvings that remain stable to this day despite earthquakes.
After visiting the Qoricancha we will go to Sacsayhuamán which is located 3 km from the city of Cusco. The tour of Sacsayhuamán gives us a view of the city of Cusco, this archaeological complex was built with enormous limestone blocks that weigh between 25 and 130 tons. Due to its size, Sacsayhuamán was an important place for celebrating festivals such as WARACHIKUY and INTI RAYMI, and is made up of three terraces arranged in a zigzag shape.
Afterwards, we will visit Qenqo, which means “labyrinth” in Quechua. It is located one kilometer from Sacsayhuamán and has limestone rock structures carved at more than 500 meters above sea level. Historians believe that these structures were used for astronomical, religious, embalming and mummification purposes.
We will continue the visit to Puka Pukara, which in Quechua means “red fortress.” This place was strategic to control and monitor access to and from the imperial city of Cusco, and served as a territorial border to delimit regions and determine travel rules.
Finally, we will visit Tambomachay, which is located 9 km from the city of Cusco. This place is known as the “Baths of the Incas” due to its water sources and as the “Water of Eternal Youth” because of its constant flow. To end our tour of the city we will go from of return to their respective hotels in the city of Cusco.
After the visit we can visit the Plaza de Armas and its surroundings where we will admire the craftsmanship of the people of Cusco in the craft stores. In addition, we will have the opportunity to delight in the famous and exquisite Peruvian cuisine in local restaurants, or simply relax on one of the benches in the Plaza de Armas, enjoying the landscape.
Although the nights in Cusco are cold, we can take the classic souvenir photo in a warm atmosphere and for those who enjoy the nightlife, we will find a wide variety of clubs and bars around the square, full of tourists and locals ready to have fun.

Plaza de Armas (Main Square): Start your day in Cusco’s Plaza de Armas. This square is surrounded by colonial buildings, including the Cathedral of Santo Domingo and the Church of the Company of Jesus. Take your time to walk around the square and appreciate the architecture.
Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun): From the Plaza de Armas you go to Qorikancha, which was once the most important temple of the Inca Empire. The temple was dedicated to the sun god Inti and is said to have been covered in gold. Today you can see the remains of the temple and learn more about its history at the on-site museum.
Sacsayhuaman: After visiting the Inca site of Qorikancha we will take a short taxi ride to Sacsayhuaman, an Inca fortress on the top of a hill overlooking Cusco. This Inca construction is made up of enormous stone walls, some of which are more than 20 feet high. From the top of the fortress you have beautiful views of Cusco and the mountains that surround it.
San Pedro Traditional Market: After visiting Sacsayhuaman we will return to the center of Cusco and visit the San Pedro Market. This market is a great place to learn about local culture and try traditional Peruvian cuisine. You can also buy souvenirs and crafts.
Cusco Cathedral: We will end the day with a visit to the Cusco Cathedral, located in the Plaza de Armas. The cathedral is one of the most important religious buildings in Cusco and is known for its impressive architecture and works of art. Don’t forget to visit the collection of paintings and sculptures from the colonial era in the cathedral.
